Kelly's Directory ("Buff Book") of Richmond in Surrey, Kew, Petersham and Ham for 1937 covered an extensive area, from Kew Bridge and the River Thames on the north to Ham on the south, and from Sheen Common and Richmond Park on the east to Isleworth on the west. The Civil Service Commission issued a monthly report listing certificates issued to civil servants of various grades on their initial appointment (whether after open competition, or without); assignments to higher grades; and transfers between departments. This is the report for June 1937: the sample scan is from the listing for post office clerks.
