(1699-1700) Records of the Treasury administration in Britain and the colonies, from August 1699 to September 1700. These include records of the appointment and replacement of customs officers such as tide waiters and surveyors. The calendar was prepared by William A. Ratepayers of Strood, Kent
(1764) 4 May 1764 this assessment was made, at 4d in the £, on 'lands and tenements in the parish of Strood, for and towards the necessary repair of the parish church', by John Boghurst and John Bowes the churchwardens and John Goldstone and Richard Otley the overseers. The assessment, recorded in Strood Church Book 'a ponderous old folio', gives the surname (sometimes with christian name too) of each tenant, the annual rent, and the rate of the assessment. RONDEAU. Citizens of London
(1768) The poll of the livery of London for four citizens to represent the city in Parliament took place at Guildhall from 16 to 23 March 1768, the candidates being the Rt Hon Thomas Harley (H), sir Robert Ladbroke (L), sir Richard Glyn (G), William Beckford (B), Barlow Trecothick (T), John Paterson (P) and John Wilkes (W). This poll book lists all the voters by initial letter of surname, and then company by company, giving full name (surname first), address, and votes cast.RONDEAU.
