The 1851 census return for St Mary Newington, Surrey, registration district: St Peter Walworth sub-district: enumeration district 16: described as: "All that Part of the Parish of St. Mary Newington, which Comprises The North side of Walworth Common from Doctor Street to Queens Row, Queens Row (both sides), Elizabeth St. (both sides), & Phelp St. (both Sides)". This area lay in the ecclesiastical district of St Peter Walworth, and in the borough of Lambeth. HO 107/1567. The addresses listed in the actual returns are 1 to 7 Portland Place, Walworth Common; 1 to 25 Phelp Street (including Rowes Terrace); Phelps Cottages; Portland House, Walworth Common; 1 and 2 Devonshire Cottages, Walworth Common; 1 to 3 Portland Place; 1 to 17 Elizabeth Street, East Side; 1 to 14 Elizabeth Street, West Side; 1 to 14 Anns Terrace, Elizabeth Street; 1 to 4 Devonshire Place; Laurel Cottage; and 1 to 62 Queens Row (including Bricklayers Arms beerhouse and Pilgrim public house).

Carpenters Excluded from the Union: Lambeth (1865)
Each annual report of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners included a list of excluded members, arranged by branch. The great majority of the exclusions were for non-payment of entrance money or arrears, but other reasons are cited from time to time - fraud; bringing the society into discredit; dishonesty; entering the society under false pretences; working contrary to the society's interest; not being a competent workman. In most cases names are given in full.

Members of Oxford University: Men (1931)
The Oxford University Calendar for 1931 includes this list of all living members of the university, i. e. not only undergraduates and members of staff, but also all surviving graduates from earlier generations. The names are arranged alphabetically by surname, then by college in order of foundation. Surnames are given, initials, highest degree, name of college, and then the year of graduating the first degree. For undergraduates only name and college is given. An asterisk before a surname indicates a member on the foundation of the college. There are separate lists for men and women.
