Runaway Convicts, New South Wales (1836)
Many convicts transported to Australia subsequently absconded from custody or from farmers or traders with whom they had been put to work. The Principal Superintendent of Convicts for New South Wales issued detailed notices to the public 'to use their utmost exertion in apprehending and lodging them in safe custody' and warning against harbouring or employing them. The lists give full name (surname first); name of the transport ship by which the convict had been deported to Australia; number; age; birthplace; trade or profession; height; appearance (complexion, hair, eyes); and a brief description of how or where absconded. February 1836.

The return of the railway subscription contracts deposited in the Private Bill Office lists the shareholders in the Chester and Birkenhead Railway, subscribers of 189,250 to shares towards the 250,000 estimated expense of the project. The list gives full name of each subscriber (or surname with initials), residence, profession or calling, number of shares, and amount.

Voters in the Parish of St Margaret, Westminster (1837)
A poll was taken 26 July 1837 for the election of two members to represent the City of Westminster in Parliament. The candidates were Lieut.-Col. de Lacey Evans, John Temple Leader, and Gen. the Right Hon. sir George Murray, K. G. C. This poll book lists the electors with full name (surname first) and address (in italics), dashes indicating for whom they cast their votes. The names are listed alphabetically by first letter of surname, arranged in the eight parishes of Westminster, plus the extra-parochial Precincts of the Savoy.
