The Home Office issued monthly lists of aliens to whom Certificates of Naturalization or Readmission to British Nationality had been granted by the Secretary of State and whose oaths of allegiance had been registered in the Home Office. These notices, from January to December 1915, refer to naturalizations from December 1914 to November 1915. The lists give full name, surname first; country of origin; date of taking the oath of allegiance; place of residence; and occupation. An dagger indicates re-admission to British nationality.

The Calendar of the Trinity College of Music, London, for the year 1929 includes lists of licentiates and associates including these musicians. Surnames and initials are given; but women are distinguished by having their (first) christian name stated. The college provided instruction to nearly 1000 students a year, with examinations of 66,000 candidates a year at 700 local centres throughout the world.

In 1830 a school was set up adjoining the University and College of London on Gower Street; the school was enlarged from 1860 to 1876, and then removed to Frognal in 1907. In 1931 a register was published, listing all boys entering the school from Christmas term of 1859 to the summer entrants of 1931. In addition, this section gave a list of all the boys attending the junior school, with full name and session of joining (e. g., 28- for session 1928-1929). Those boys who had brothers in the main school are indicated with double daggers.

Official announcements of the British administration in Palestine were issued, By Authority, in the weekly Palestine Gazette. These include registration of business partnerships. Changes of name in Palestine under the British mandate were advertised in the Palestine Gazette. These are the changes listed from July to December 1936. This was a period when there were many arrivals of persecuted Jews from eastern Europe, and in many cases the new names replaced German, Polish, Lithuanian &c. surnames with Hebrew surnames: but other faiths and nationalities are represented. Each person's original and new name is given, together with their nationality and address (no more precisely than, say, Haifa or Tel Aviv). This is the index of the old original names.

The Dentists Register is the official register of British dental practitioners. For each dentist the original certificate number is given; name (surname first, in bold; in the case of married women, maiden name is also usually given); address (in italics); date of registration; and the qualification entitling registration, with any additional qualifications, with year and place of qualification. Many of the older dentists, already practising by 1921, were qualified by virtue of the Dentists Act of that year.
