Letter Book C of the City of London contains enrolments of recognizances between inhabitants, particularly citizens, for sums of money lent or due; grants of pieces of land or property; and various records relating to the city administration, minor infractions, &c. The text was edited by Reginald R. Sharpe and printed by order of the Corporation of the City of London in 1901.

Soldiers, administrators, refugees and merchants in America (1782-1783)
These are the headquarters papers of sir Guy Carleton, British commander-in-chief during the American war of independence. Many of the individuals recorded were part of the British military administration, but others are refugees and merchants whose lives had been disrupted by the conflict. These records cover July 1782 to March 1783.

His Majesty's ship the Alexander took part in the destruction of the French fleet in Aboukir Bay at the mouth of the Nile ('the Battle of the Nile') on the evening of the 1st and morning of the 2nd August 1798. This is the muster book for 1 July to 31 August 1798: French sailors picked up by the ship after the action were given two-thirds rations until they could be put ashore in Alexandria, and so were entered in these pages.

Mauritius Intestates (1850)
Return of certain estates under charge of the Curator of Intestate Estates, at Mauritius, on 31 December 1850, giving name of the intestate or party whose estate was vacant; date of intestate's decease; colonial residence; supposed British or foreign residence; money in hand; and remarks. The sample scan is from a return of estates of intestates from the Supreme Court of the colony of Victoria of 1859.

The Home Office issued monthly lists of aliens to whom Certificates of Naturalization or Readmission to British Nationality had been granted by the Secretary of State and whose oaths of allegiance had been registered in the Home Office. These notices, from January to December 1918, refer to naturalizations from December 1917 to November 1918. The lists give full name, surname first; country of origin; date of taking the oath of allegiance; place of residence; and occupation. An dagger indicates re-admission to British nationality.
