This 'Exact List of the Poll At the Chusing of Knights of the Shire for the County of Middlesex, Taken at New-Brentford, on Monday the 28th of May, 1705' lists all the freeholders eligible to vote, parish by parish, with an indication on the righthand side whether each voted for Sir John Wolstenholme, baronet, (Wo) or Score Barker, esquire, (Ba), or not at all. Correspondence and Journal of Charles Talbot
(1674-1708)
Charles Talbot, earl and duke of Shrewsbury, served as Secretary of State, and this material includes his correspondence in that capacity from 1694 to 1700. He then proceeded on an extended tour of the Continent, from 1700 to 1706, of which he kept this journal. Harley family papers

This collection of letters and papers is particularly interesting in that it includes a file of petitions and memorials to queen Anne from 1704 to 1708, and a similar file of petitions to Robert Harley in his post as Secretary of State during the same years. This abstract of the archives from the first and second Session of the second Parliament of Great Britain, 16 November 1708 to 5 April 1710, was prepared by F. W. Lascelles and C. K. Davidson and printed in 1923 in continuation of the volumes issued under the authority of the Historical Manuscripts Commission. The source materials are the manuscript minutes of proceedings, called the Lords Journal (MS. Min.); manuscript minutes of Select Committee proceedings (Com. Book); manuscript minutes of the Committee for Privileges (Priv. Book); the Long Calendar list of acts public and private consecutively by regnal year; and the Folio Edition of Statutes of the Realm. The proceedings are cross-referenced to the printed Lords Journal (L. J.). The greater part of this volume is taken up with the papers laid before the House relating to an expedition fitted out by king Louis XIV of France in an unsuccessful attempt to establish the Pretender on the throne of Scotland in March 1708.
