Just before Christmas in 1825 a notice was issued, signed by local traders, assuring the public of the perfect soundness and stability of the banks of Sparrow, Hanbury & Co. in Essex, and stating their readiness to receive the notes of the same in all payments. The list of signatories is in five sections: Braintree, Bocking &c.; Bardfield, Finchingfield, Thaxted, &c.; Witham &c.; Coggeshall; and Chelmsford, &c.

The public prints of December 1834 carried this loyal address to king William IV of merchants, bankers, shipowners, traders and others connected with the city of London, requesting 'permission at the present juncture to address your Majesty for the purpose of renewing the expression of our dutiful and loyal attachment to your Majesty’s person and crown. Deeply sensible of the practical blessings we have hitherto enjoyed under our wisely mixed constitution of King, Lords, and Commons, and feeling that the free and legitimate exercise of the Royal prerogative forms an integral part of that constitution (as essential to the maintenance of our own liberties as to the power and dignity of the Throne), we beg humbly to assure your Majesty of our determination steadfastly to uphold the same by every means in our power. 'Feeling, in common with all classes of your Majesty’s subjects, the deep importance of applying to all real abuses, wherever they may be found, a wholesome and timely correction, and of effecting in our excellent institutions every improvement of which careful examination and experience may prove them to be susceptible, we desire further dutifully to express our entire confidence that these useful purposes will ever occupy your Majesty’s paternal care. Nor can we permit ourselves to believe that the importance of these objects will be less apparent to those to whom the powers of government have been recently intrusted.' The 1851 census return for St Mary Newington, Surrey, registration district: St Peter Walworth sub-district: enumeration district 26: described as: "All that Part of the Parish of St. Mary Newington, which Comprises The North side of East St. from Sun St. to Camden Street, Camden St. (both sides), Princes St. (both sides), Including New St., Union St., and Albert Place". This area lay in the ecclesiastical district of St Peter Walworth, and in the borough of Lambeth. HO 107/1567. The addresses listed in the actual returns are 1 to 33 Camden Street (including Lord Camden public house); 1 to 10 Princes Street; 1 to 33 New Street; 1 to 3 Union Cottages, Union Street; Albion Cottages; 1 to 7, 24 and 25 Union Street; 3 to 12 Albert Place; 5 and 7 Rose & Crown; Richmond Place; East Street (1 house); Richmond Cottages; and 1 to 28 Richmond Terrace (including Masons Arms public house).

Electrical Engineers (1952)
The Institution of Electrical Engineers was founded in 1871, and incorporated by royal charter in 1921. There were seven grades of member (honorary member, member, associate member, companion, associate, graduate, and student); this is the list of the 19,699 members of the latter three grades as of 1 July 1952. Most of the members were from Britain, but there were Oversea Branches for Calcutta, Ceylon and Ireland, and Oversea Committees in Australia, India, Malaya and Singapore, New Zealand and South Africa. The associates (A), graduates (G) and students (S) are listed together in a single alphabetical list by surname and christian name(s), with year of entering the grade. Some of the members also belonged to specialized sections of the institution, and these are indicated at the right by the letters M (measurements), R (radio), S (supply) and U (utilization).
