| Boys entering Harrow School

This First Volume of the Second Series of the Harrow School Register was edited by J. H. Stogdon and published in 1925. The boys are listed by term of entrance, and then alphabetically by surname and christian names (in bold). Next, in brackets and in italics, is the school house to which he belonged - or, H. B. indicating a day boy whose family lived in Harrow. Stogdon then gives the father's surname and initials, and address. In cases where the boy was prominent in sports at school, or won academic prizes, scholarships &c., that is given; then the year of leaving the school; and a synopsis of his career, so far as known.

The Yachtsman's Annual and General Register gave a description of each of the main yacht clubs in the British Isles, with the names of the officers, a membership list (names and addresses), and a register of the members' yachts, usually giving number, name, tonnage, and sometimes rig and build. | Railway Subscription Contracts

£21,386,703 6s 4d was promised by about 10,000 subscribers of less than £2,000 per contract to the nearly 200 railway bills deposited in the Private Bill Office during the Session of Parliament for 1845. This alphabetical list gives the full names of the subscribers (surname first), description (i. e., occupation), place of abode, a numerical reference to the title of the railway, the amount subscribed to each, and total. Perry's Bankrupt and Insolvent Gazette, issued monthly, included lists of insolvents petitioning the courts of bankruptcy, together with subsequent stages in their discharge. The insolvent is generally referred to by name (surname first, in capitals), address and trade. The initial notice of the petition gives the surnames of the Commissioner and the Official Assignee.
