Army Medical School Examination Lists: British Medical Service (1868)
The examination results for the Fifteenth Session of the Army Medical School, Netley, for Winter 1867-1868 combine the results of the Chelsea Examination in August 1867 and of the Netley Examination in February 1868. The results are arranged in three categories - candidates for the British Medical Service, candidates for Her Majesty's Indian Service, and those for service on the West Coast of Africa. Similarly, the results for the Sixteenth Session combine results of the Chelsea Examination in February 1868 and of the Netley Examination in August 1868; again, set out in the three categories. In each case the first column shows the order of merit as finally settled; then the candidate's name (surname first, with christian name or initials); and total number of marks (out of a possible 6900).

New Zealand War Medal roll for the 43rd (Monmouthshire Light Infantry) Regiment of Foot: for service in the New Zealand campaign 1866 to 1867: the rolls were compiled following a general order in 1869 and the medals were distributed in 1870. The regiment had been serving in India, and was moved to New Zealand in 1866; the men returned to England in 1868.

Full name is given, surname first, and full postal address except in those few cases where the member subscribed through an agent.

The Education Department set examinations for candidates for admission into training colleges, and to become teachers. This is the class list (in order of merit) of the pupil teachers who passed that examination at Christmas 1878. The list gives the candidate's name (surname first) (prefixed by an asterisk where she was examined on second-year papers), and the school in which engaged (N. for National School, Ch. Church of England, B. British School, W. Wesleyan, R. Roman Catholic, P. Parochial, Bd. Board School, Indl. Industrial School). (The sample scan is from the list for Scottish schoolmistresses)
