The Seventieth Annual Conference 'of the Preachers, late in Connexion with the Rev. John Wesley' was held in Liverpool in July 1813, stationed the preachers throughout the districts for the following year, as set out in this report from the Methodist Magazine. Mr John Dodd (D) and Mr George Wildig (W) stood as candidates in 1818 for election by the freemen of the city of Chester as Sheriff of the People.
