Inhabitants of Harwich in Essex (1790-1797)
The provincial sections of the Universal British Directory include lists of gentry and traders from each town and the surrounding countryside, with names of local surgeons, lawyers, postmasters, carriers, &c. (the sample scan here is from the section for Hull). The directory started publication in 1791, but was not completed for some years, and the provincial lists, sent in by local agents, can date back as early as 1790 and as late as 1797.

Bankrupts in England and Wales petitioning for discharge (1845)
Perry's Bankrupt and Insolvent Gazette, issued monthly, included lists of bankruptcies and stages in the liquidation of the estate, payment of dividends, and discharge. Towards the end of the process there was a Meeting for Allowance of Certificates, where the bankrupt applied for a certificate of discharge. This meeting sometimes took place many years after the bankruptcy procedure started: the details given are the year originally gazetted, name (surname first), address, and trade; and the date and time of the hearing. This is the index to the names of the bankrupts, from the issues from January to December 1845.

Dividends of insolvents' estates in England and Wales (1845)
Perry's Bankrupt and Insolvent Gazette, issued monthly, included brief notices of dividends of insolvents' estates. Each entry gives the year that the insolvency was first gazetted, the surname and initials of the bankrupt, trade and address; followed by the amount of the dividend as shillings and pence in the pound. This is the index to the names of the insolvents, from the issues from January to December 1845.

Customs Officers at Liverpool (1853)
The lists of customs officers at the outports of Great Britain and Ireland give the full names of the staff arranged by rank - usually the collector, controller, clerks, landing surveyors, searchers, superintendent of lockers, chief tide surveyor and inspector of water guard, tide surveyors, inspectors of patrol, and inspecting commander of coast guard. The jurisdiction of this port included the creek of Runcorn.

Straker's Annual Mercantile, Ship and Insurance Register includes lists of ship owners in Belfast, Cardiff, Colchester, Dover, Dublin, Falmouth, Folkestone, Grimsby, Hartlepool, Harwich, Hull, Leith, London, Lynn, Newcastle, Penzance, Plymouth, Ramsgate & Margate, South Shields, Sunderland, Swansea, Wisbech and Yarmouth. In each case the list gives surname, christian name or initials, and (usually) address.
