Norwich Benevolence for fortifying Yarmouth
(1587) In 1846 the Norfolk and Norwich Archaeological Society printed Extracts from Original Manuscripts belonging to the Norwich Corporation: including the account of Robert Goldman, Chamberlain of the City of Norwich, concerning a benevolence granted toward the fortification of the town of Yarmouth, and for prest money, coats and armour of men sent to Thetford towards the leaguers in Kent, 1587.
