The Staffordshire General and Commercial Directory was published by W. Parson and T. Bradshaw in 1818 in sections, the first seven relating to the north of the county: 1. Newcastle-under-Lyme; 2. Golden Hill, Tunstall &c. (including Talk'o'th'Hill, Red Street, Chesterton, Greenfield, Sandiford, New Field and Brown Hills); 3. Burslem &c. (including Longport, Cobridge and Hot Lane); 4. Hanley and Shelton; 5. Stoke, Etruria and Penkhull; 6. Lane End &c. (including Fenton and Lane Delph); 7. Leek. In each section the traders are listed alphabetically under surname, with occupation and address.

Manumittors of Slaves in Antigua (1823)
The Registrar of Slaves in Antigua prepared this return of manumissions effected by purchase, bequest, or otherwise from 1 January 1821 to 31 December 1826 in the island, stating: date of manumission, sex of person manumitted, age (only occasionally given), price paid for the slave's redemption, at whose expense effected, and amount of fees. In the section covering bequests, the information is limited to date, sex, and at whose expense effected. In most cases the manumittor's full name is shown.

Teachers in County Kilkenny Deserving of Encouragement (1826)
The Society for Promoting the Education of the Poor of Ireland awarded gratuities to 'Teachers, appearing, from the Inspectors' Reports of their Schools, to be deserving of encouragement'. 13 such teachers were identified in county Kilkenny in 1826, and these are listed in the society's report for the following year, with their full name and the name of their school.
