Both lists are indexed here, and each gives rank, name, regimental number, date of recommendation and date of issue. (The sample scan is from the 32nd foot). The regiment was moved from India to England in 1871.

The 1st battalion was in England throughout this period; the 2nd battalion was sent to the West Coast of Africa and Ashanti in 1872; returned to England in 1873; and was transferred to Gibraltar in 1874.
