Calendars of the patent rolls of the reign of king Edward I are printed in the Calendars of State Papers: but these cover only a fraction of the material on the rolls. From 1881 to 1889 the reports of the Deputy Keeper of the Public Record Office also include calendars of other material from the rolls - about five times as many entries as in the State Papers - predominantly mandates to the royal justices to hold sessions of oyer and terminer to resolve cases arising locally; but also other general business. | English administration in Ireland
(1392-1393)
This roll of proceedings of the King's Council in Ireland from June 1392 to April 1393, in the 16th year of the reign of Richard II, survived among the archives of the Marquis of Ormode; it was transcribed by the Reverend James Graves, and published in 1877 as a volume in the Chronicles and Memorials series. Part of the record is in Latin, part in French, and Graves provided translations into English for all the French text. The record is mainly of commissions, letters of protection, and fiats for registration on the Patent Roll. Some related documents from the British Museum and the Public Record Office are transcribed in the appendix, including an inspeximus of 1444 with the names of burgesses of Drogheda.

Under the direction of the Master of the Rolls of Ireland, James Morrin, Clerk of Enrolments in Chancery, prepared a calendar of the Patent and Close Rolls of Ireland of the 1st to 8th years of the reign of king Charles I (27 March 1625 to 26 March 1633). These rolls record royal orders and commissions, general and particular, the individuals mentioned being mainly officers, officials and petitioners.WELLESLEY. | Manners family correspondence
(1771-1787)
Volumes 26 to 36 of the letters and papers of the Manners family of Belvoir consist largely of the correspondence of lord Robert Manners, naval captain, and his brother Charles marquess of Gransby, subsequently 4th duke of Rutland, who served for a period as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. This printed report dwells mainly on the political rather than domestic content of the manuscripts.

| Freeholder voters in Middlesex
(1802)
A poll to elect two knights of the shire to represent the county of Middlesex, was held at Brentford 13 to 29 July 1802. The electors were the adult male freeholders of more than 40s per annum of real estate. This poll book lists the voters alphabetically by surname, giving christian name, abode, where the freehold was situate, the nature of the freehold (such as messuage, house, land, rent-charge &c.), the occupier's name, and whether the freeholder voted for William Mainwaring, George Byng or sir Francis Burdett. The entries are printed across facing pages, of which this sample shows part of a lefthand page. For each name indexed, the matching pair of scans is provided. This is the index to the freeholders.
