Section 40 lists the establishment of the civil branch of his Majesty's Office or Ordnance, from the Major General down to assistant clerks; with officers at Portsmouth, Woolwich, Chatham, Plymouth, Sheerness and Upnor, and storekeepers at Berwick, Hull, Greenwich, Pendennis, Chester, Jerset, Guernsey, Carlisle, Edinburgh, Stirling and Fort William; and civil officers at Gibraltar, Port Mahon, and storekeepers at Placentia and Annapolis-Royal.
